I am happy with this bed frame. It did take me awhile to put together over an hour but I did mess up and have to correct something so I take that into account. All the pieces are stamped with numbers on the bottom so that helped with identifying parts. You will require a drill for part of the assembly. There are notches showing where the bracket needs to be attached for the main support underneath the mattress. make sure side rails are in a lower on the inside (this was my mess up I had one turned upside down and so I had to fix that before I could install the planks evenly across). This bed is VERY low to the ground without a box spring (which is not required) but I feel like buyers should know that. With the frame and my mattress my bed is 19 inches in height. There’s 7.5 inches height between the floor and underneath the bed frame, BUT I was happily surprised that I could still fit two long flat storage contained underneath the bed! (Hefty 52 qt plastic storage bins 35.98W x 16.81D x 6.6 H) I was worried I was losing all underneath storage but that was not the case after finding these bins. The bed is sturdy. I previously had a metal frame and all the clicking/squeaking and creaking was making me crazy. This bed is quiet! I only gave 4 stars bc of the very low profile of the bed but I am very happy with my purchase
