Great ankle support!

I have worn this pair of shoes for six months now, 40 hours per week, and I still love them. I've had bad ankle injuries and the high top keeps my ankles feeling secured. I also enjoy that they aren't bulky at all. It's a sleek sneaker and it's easy to clean the leather. I ordered my normal size and they fit perfect.

These shoes have been great for working in the restaurant industry. They are easy to slip on and they last for a long time! Highly recommend!

Something changes with this style because I have had 5 pairs of these. This last pair were unwearable. I'm on the floor for 8 hours my feet hurt every time I wore them. No support which is a shame cause I love this style.

I bought a pair back in 2005 and still have them. They're great. Just change the insoles from time to time. They're still like I bought them yesterday.

I really loved the Old School leather high tops, but they've been discontinued. The nice folks at Shoes for Crews recommended the Pembroke as the nearest substitute. I wear men's 11.5 and have very narrow feet, so fit is often a problem--and the Pembroke doesn't come in 11.5. Reading others' reviews, it seemed that the Pembroke ran narrow and actually also ran small, so I ordered size 12. Upon first trying them on, it was clear that 12 was going to be just fine. My other concern, width, was also addressed very early. When I laced them up tight--as I almost always have to with any shoe--about halfway through the day I noticed the outside of my right foot was progressively uncomfortable. The next day I laced them not quite so tightly and the discomfort did not recur. My impression is that these shoes are going to wear "like iron" as the saying has it. However, that very durability means that breaking them in was temporarily like wearing iron shoes. Quite uncomfortable, briefly. Now that they and I are used to each other, I look forward to a long and comfortable association.
very nice, not the most comfortable

given shoes for crews quality, of course these are not the most comfortable, however they are very nice. i wax them with petroleum jelly to keep them shiny. i do wish they had pull tabs on the back.

I've had these for about 2 weeks. They look great, perfect for work and really fitting. Like all shoes you need a day or two to break them in and will be very uncomfortable. But now they feel great. I previously had this model in canvas but they only lasted about 5 months in cold and wet conditions. I'm hoping the leather will last longer.

After breaking them in I like them, but the shoelaces seem somewhat cheap and I wish there was a tag to hold to make putting them on easier but cute and I like them

My feet don't slide around in the ankle support is outstanding. My balance and movement on slip resistant sole is perfect and my waist, lower back and ankles point in the direction of movement instead of sliding on wet kitchen floors. I would not recommend adding any more arch support to this shoe because my workplace floors are flat and the flatter the shoe creates more back support for standing all day

The only problem I had with them was in the beginning they would cut into my ankles, took a few weeks to break them in but once I did they were fine! I had the leather ones

These work fine if you are working shorter shifts but after a while of standing, they just aren't comfortable. Also when I first put them on they felt like they were cutting my ankles luckily they broke in fine after a short walk.

I've had these shoes for 4 years. I've had to replace the insoles a year ago because I wear them 5-6 days a week. Their slip resistance is incredible still and they are comfortable after you break them in of course. They look as good as they are demonstrated. I'm about to buy another pair right now so I give them a thumbs up!

I have been purchasing these shoes regularly for the last ten years and they will always be my favourite pair of shoes. Nothing compares to these. I LOVE them. They have been the most durable shoes I have ever owned and I'll buy these forever.

I've ordered the leather twice, and in both pairs, a hole worn in the sole less than 6 months after. Canvas are sturdier, however, with those the dye in them has stained my ankles. Looks like I was tied up some where and drugged around.
Small for men's size

The design looks cool (looks like a classic high cut Converse) but with a non skid outsoles. however, it says that the size is unisex, so the feet width is more narrow compared to the actual men's size.
