how to measure

finding your shoe size takes just 3 steps.

  1. Stand with one bare foot on a piece of paper.
  2. Mark the paper at the back of your heel bone & at the end of your longest toe.
  3. Measure the distance between these two points in a straight line, & repeat the same steps for the other foot.

If one foot is longer, use the larger measurement to find your shoe size by referencing the size chart above. If your measurement is in between sizes & the shoes don’t come in half sizes, please round up to the next size.

Remember, this chart can only approximate your true shoe size. Finding a shoe that fits also depends on brand, style and individual. To find the best fit, we recommend visiting a Target store to try on different shoe sizes & styles.

Why the change?

I loved the previous version of these boots with the signature Shoes for Crews tread pattern. The new "Ace" version is definitely not restaurant kitchen non-slip worthy.

The shoes are very comfortable overall, my feet weren't dying after standing for a few hours straight. I did need to purchase insoles because after a while the cushioning wears out, but those were cheap and fit well

Used to be my favorite shoe

I've bought four pairs of these over the past five years and loved them. Absolutely loved them. But they are now manufactured by a different company. The design is nearly the same but there are seams inside the shoe that hurt my feet. Left me with horrible blisters. Until I could get a new shoe, I had to wear multiple socks as cushion. Very sad, I will miss them.

Good slip and oil resistant shoes

These shoes are great for being slip and oil resistant but not for comfort. They run big, they fit more like a size 6 and not a size 5. I had to put new insoles in because I have a high arch and also they are big. I have to switch between these and another shoe I have. A coworker says these are clown shoes because they are big on me and look big. I bought these almost 2 years ago. The first pair I bought was in 2001 and they were the best. I would suggest getting a smaller size than what you normally wear.

My Favorite Shoe

Overall, I adore these boots. I've had them for years and when my old pair was no longer functional, I was heartbroken. It was very thrilling to find the same pair again! However, they have made some changes that I'm not particularly fond of personally. I realize that the functionality of these shoes differs based on your profession, but I just don't like the "updated" version. The sizes have changed as well it seems. I originally ordered my size, in women's but those boots were way too big. I exchanged for a new pair and their still a little big but this allows me to layer socks if necessary. Im not a fan of the eyelets either, but thats a personal preference. They are still my favorite though, so I bought two pairs. I'm going to attempt to dye one pair white. Wish me luck.

Returning MUCH to big

Can't fairly review this new version of this boot. I liked the old ones after I wore them in. And my company covers the whole price of the boot. I just fee the old version were true to size and I want everyone to know these are at least a full size bigger. Remember to return for correct size as the excellent return ability until you find the right fit/shoe is the true reason for this company's success.

Four years and just replacing

These have lasted me for four years of heavy wear, only replacing because the inside is getting worn. The outsides are very scuffed, but the steel toe stood up to getting trailer tongues dropped on them with no dents, and have saved me from many a stubbed toe.

I think I'm on my third or fourth pair right now and I completely stand by them. Several of the girls I work with have asked me how I like these shoes and have purchased them/loved them as well. I'm glad there is a wide option and my normal shoe size works for these boots too. If you haven't worn steel toe before just know that your feet and possibly legs will be sore for the first week or two of wearing these but you get used to them. Does well in the winter and with walking through wet areas but after about 8 months they do start to wear down and let some moisture through.

I love these boots but they are a little heavy on your feet and are slightly bulky. They also run big, I had to return them twice to finally get the right fit because they were so large.

I've had these boots for three years now. I have worked 70 hour weeks and I've worked 20 hour weeks. I've worked jobs where these would be caked in flour, oil, egg, and fries by the end of each shift from top to bottom. I've worked in wet environment with bad floor drains and broken squeegees that shove water back at your feet. These boots may be heavy, but they have survived it ALL. Keep in mind I've had these for three years. About two years in, some waterproof coating did peel off. I think that's pretty dang good considering the abuse. The treading is still remarkable to this day. I thought last week I'd have to say goodbye to these boots as the glue holding the toe box finally lost It's will to live and split, but there's nothing some shoe-goo and a C-clamp can't fix. THREE YEARS AND STILL KICKING, GUYS. If you can deal with the weight that comes with steel toe boots, get these. High arches? Do get yourself some good insoles while you're at it... :)

I've been looking for a work boot for ages but no one seemed to have one that would fit a 7 1/2 W foot. Still breaking them in but holding up well and I like the ankle support in my work. Too often my ankles get clipped by racks and it hurts! Nice to have a good buffer.

The site suggested I get an 8 in the boots. I'm normally a 7 1/2. So the first time I tried them on and wore them to work was torture. My feet were SO heavy and the shoes had no support that when I got home later my legs not only hurt for days later but my feet did too. I was so disappointed in the comfort since I felt like I was paying more then as if I shopped around some where else. But I thought that they would be every thing I needed. If I didn't need these shoes for work for the cold weather then I would of returned them. Only good thing I can say is that now that I'm use to it, the shoes do keep my feet warm during the snowy weather and the shoes are a little slip resistant. But the shoes are just ok. Wish they were cheaper that way it wouldn't feel like a total downer.

Good Shoe, but I had trouble.

I had a hard time fitting this shoe, and ended up wearing a size slightly too large for my feet. It's very comfortable, but I had to buy an insole for my high arches (not very much arch support) but after that is was perfect. The way the shoe fit my feet/how much walking I do/ how the shoe was built did lead to rather quick wear and tear. The back of the interior heel started coming apart before 6 months of use and would leave annoying debris and a rough spot that would tear through my socks. This shoe served me well, just make sure you get your proper fit and it may not be the best shoe for high-arched users or those who do lots of walking on duty.
