Mine has been undergoing some intense off-gassing. When the item first arrived the chemical smell was overwhelming. It took over a week of continuous airing out in the open to get rid of the worst of it. Now it’s been more than three weeks, and it’s still requires airing out and cannot be used full time, as I can still detect the smell coming from the top of the chair’s back. Not sure what’s put in there, but had I known it would smell so much I wouldn’t have bought it. Assembly is also tricky. The holes don’t align very well - took a fair bit of maneuvering to force them into the right place. On the pros side, I’m a short person and this chair is the right size for me. Also fits nicely within my small bedroom. But that doesn’t compensate for the smell in my opinion.
