A: Hi, AWM! Good question! We recommend against flushing PrettyLitter because feline feces can contain toxoplasmosis, a parasite that can be harmful to marine life. If you live near water, it's definitely something to keep in mind. The concern is really with the feces, not the litter itself. As for the litter, if you have a septic tank, it depends on how well your tank handles other litters. If you've flushed other types of litter into your septic system in the past without issues, PrettyLitter should work just as well. Be sure to buy the clumping and it’s the best best litter that I’ve ever had and I have spent my lifetime taking care of cats. This product change the life of my cat from fear, and discussed from that conventional gray sand that leaves a trail of smoke and get stuck in their paws to a lovely, even definitely pretty light pleasant joy that happens to be cold litter 💟🌸💟🌸💟🌸💟

I would leave zero stars if I could. Do not buy…the clumps adhere to the litter box as if they are made of super glue. Very very difficult to remove. I am not a fan and shared my feedback with pretty litter directly.

The litter turns into cement on the bottom and sides of the litter box. The clumps it creates are absolutely massive as well. Makes it so hard to scoop and makes it hard for my cats to actually dig and bury their poop. Tracks really bad too. Original pretty litter is a million times better.

The guar gum creates the clumping effect in our clumping PrettyLitter. To avoid adhesion, we suggest to keep the depth of litter to 3 inches since the clump will stick to the bottom once dry and replace all used litter with fresh litter once a month. Litter tracking can also be worse for some cats depending on the texture of their fur, but we always suggest getting a high-walled litter box to combat tracking with any litter. Honestly it’s terrible. I have two cats and two litter boxes and I was using the normal pretty litter which I loved but figured id try this out instead. I bought two bags and it lasted me two weeks even with replenishing every so often. I’m going back to the normal pretty litter from here on out.

It sticks to the litter box and this isn't as good as the non clumping. This litter also tracks all over the house.

Mr Cuddles loves it. It helps with his allergies, no more sneezing. I've read reviews and it will stick to the bottom if you don't clean it regularly. If your cat peas alot, like mine, then you need to clean their box more frequently. The clumping helps alot and makes the litter last longer. They do need a better cat friendly fragrance.

I maintain 4 litter boxes for 3 cats. The urine clumping is great, but when they poop, the stench doesn't go away for hours - even if I try to bury it. As a result, I'm cleaning boxes at least twice a day. My long haired cat tracks it all over the floor. a mat around the litter box would not help as it gets caught in her fur. It may not be dust, but it is tiny beads that are scratching my hardwood floors. I'm truly bummed

To maximize the odor control of PrettyLitter, we recommend stirring the litter box at least 2-3 times daily (side-to-side, up and down) and always scooping the poop out of the box to maintain the litter’s freshness and maximize its odor control. Also, litter tracking can be worse for some cats depending on the texture of their fur, but we always suggest trying a high-walled litter box to help combat tracking with any litter. I switched to pretty litter so my cat wouldn’t track so much from her little robot. This litter works amazing with the bot and very easy to clean up around the bot to clean up, easy sweep up. A little goes a long way!
