For best results, turn the pencil gently in the sharpener 3 or 4 times, being careful not to apply excess pressure. After sharpening, remove all shavings from the blade edge. Good liner. Not transfer-proof, but stays on pretty well throughout the day (photo is 8hr wear after eating, drinking). Colors are pretty spot on in regards to looking natural and blending with different products in different lip combos. Product is easy to apply and color is pretty darn pigmented so it is easy to overdo if not paying attention. However, it is possible to blur or blend out before it completely sets. After that, it is on! Really like, will purchase other colors!

Love the lifter lip series! Glides on easy and is long wearing! I'm a former Clinique employee and would say this stands up to the more expensive brands! I've bought several colors. The only small draw back is you have to manually sharpen it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No odour to product, applies very easily and lasts. No transfer to glass when drinking and remained in place whilst I ate. No loss of colour during wear either or bleeding out of the line. Plus easily removed with cleanser.

Love the color options and how creamy it is, but like other reviews I'm struggling with sharpening it. I have read your other replies about this topic but still not able to sharpen it! My new sharpener totally broke the plastic end that's around the product! I need a video tutorial! I have looked on social media for tips but that hasn't helped me either!

Perfect color and application process. However, it's not worth the hassle trying to sharpen it. It's silly to expect us to have a new sharpener or use a special technique when it comes to this one specific lip liner. As a test I sharpened my NYX lip liner without issues. It was almost a perfect product!

I thought this was going to my favorite lip liner every. Wears beautifully, but it is impossible to sharpen. I've wasted a lot of product, and can't get a point on it.

Feedback from our consumers is very important to us and helps us improve all of our products. This new generation of liners provides great color payoff but needs a gentle touch and a sharp blade to sharpen successfully. For best results, insert the pencil into the sharpener no more than 1/4 of an inch. If you push the pencil too far into the sharpener, the blade will grab too much and become difficult to sharpen. The goal is to shave off the resin in a thin curl to reveal more liner. The pencil should be sharpened frequently so that 3 or 4 gentle turns are sufficient to achieve the desired result. There's a bit of a learning curve but you'll master it in no time. A new sharpener with a fresh blade can make a big difference.
