In the past, whenever I tried a store brand or alternative, it always flaked and left behind extra cotton strands on my face. I normally purchase generic brand cotton balls but they are always thin and pull apart too easily leaving behind bits of the cotton. The Qtip brand cotton balls are such a high quality. They are dense and hold their shape when being used.
