The Vego garden beds have garnered mixed feedback from guests, highlighting both their innovative design and some concerns about durability. Many guests appreciate the ease of assembly, height for comfortable gardening, and aesthetic appeal. However, some have reported issues with the coating wearing off and structural integrity over time. Overall, these beds offer a modern solution for gardening, especially for those with mobility challenges, but guests are advised to consider long-term durability.

The bracing rods are bending in the center of our garden bed which is causing the sides of our garden bed to cave inward.

I’ve had my beds for only 6 weeks, but my veggies are more productive than usual & my back is happy. I’m so glad I decided to splurge on the taller beds. They arrived in perfect condition, are well built, and fairly easy to assemble. The add-ons are absolutely fabulous. I just hope they make taller covers & metal bottoms one day. I’m looking forward to purchasing more!

These raised beds are really easy to use. I put a panel on one side to grow cucumbers and peas on while also growing beans and basil.

I’ve purchased multiple Vego garden beds, trusting their claims of durability and a corrosion-resistant coating that should last around 20 years. I now realize that was a huge mistake. Within less than three years of normal, light use, the coating is already coming off—meaning these beds are no longer food-safe for growing vegetables. I currently have eight Vego beds, many of which I extended with extra panels, investing a significant amount of time, energy, and money into what I thought was a long-term solution. Instead, I’m left with deteriorating beds that will soon need to be replaced. For reference, I’m in an arid climate (zone 9a/b), and the bed in the photos has been mostly in shade, so this isn’t a case of extreme environmental exposure. If this is what happens under mild conditions, I can’t imagine how these hold up elsewhere. Vego’s marketing completely misrepresents the longevity of their product. If you’re looking for a truly durable garden bed, look elsewhere.

Great product, but a bit tedious to put together

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shipped fast and was really well packed. I appreciated how high quality the bed and parts were. I loved that all the tools I needed were included and extra bolts were too. I really appreciated that the hardware was of good quality. There are a lot of parts to put together and with this height of bed, you might need another person to help out. But even though it’s tedious, it’s definitely easy to put together. My only complaint is that, although the pieces were well protected in shipment, it was really easy to knick / scratch the paint once the protective plastic was off.

It's been working great! We have had it for two years and still love it! Had the best harvest ever in summer/fall last year. The plants are happy. Our backs are less sore from gardening too due to the height of the planter. Overall, it's a great purchase!

I purchased two Vego beds along with 2 from another maker from Australia. The price points were about the same but with Vego having way better bundle discounts! When I put the two beds together, aesthetically they’re very similar, but Vego beds are much easier to assemble. The over all quality of the parts and metal Vego also won. One of my tall ‘Australian’ beds bowed out a bit after filling and it is due to the inside support rods, again the engineering of Vego is just better. I now go to only Vego for my supplies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first tall raised bed. It was easy to construct and is quite pretty. I look forward to avoiding the gophers voles and rabbits we’ve lost food to in the last year. My back should feel better with the 29 inch height. We filled it with logs, sticks leaves and then a nice layer of soil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 32” 10ft x 2ft Vego kit with extension was a fun and easy project for my husband and I to put together. Planted 4 Fine Line buckthorn to screen view of neighbor’s side yard.
