So so cute! It was perfect for Easter! Definitely size down it runs big! The straps button so you can easily cross them in the back for a slightly different style too! I’m wearing a 1x

Too tight in the chest. Too big everywhere else. I tried styling this dress so many ways because I really wanted to love it. Normal size was comically large and unflattering. Sized down - still unwearable. Straps would not stay up and could not be adjusted. Waistline seemed way high up. Pockets very high too. Overall not what I’m used to with Ava & Viv. The only pro - cute patterns. Would not recommend this one. Sent both back

Size Down Normally wear a 2x (20) and got the xxl after reading reviews to size down. Even tightening the shoulder straps didn’t help. The top is just too big and leaves gaps. Sadly they don’t make an xl so I just have find something different. This is sooo cute I’m sad it runs so big

I got the xxl, which is usually what I buy at Target, but it’s huge on me! Wish I could get a size or 2 smaller cause it’s suuuper cute.

finally a cute gingham plus size dress!! it’s so pretty and very thin for summer. size down! I normally wear a 2X and the XXL fits perfect.

Bought the gingham in xxl since most said it runs big. For reference (so this review helps you) my bra size is 42/44C and my body shape is sort of pear 🍐 or hourglass ⌛️. Bottom is size 22 in Ava and Viv wide leg jeans. The XXL fits just right and the material is seersucker which if you click on the gingham dress and read the description below it says the percentage of cotton and spandex. All the other colors/patterns of this dress are more like poplin and not the airy seersucker material of the gingham. Hope this review helps you. Happy shopping!

Loose in the top, more like 3x and is a bit see through - if you're in the sun you'll have to wear a slip or shapewear

Beautiful fun summer dress. Im a 20/22 so I bought 2x womens size & needed to size down to XXL

This is gorgeous. The gingham print is beautiful and timeless. Material is lightweight and breathable and almost like wrinkle resistant.

The print is so cute and I wanted to love this, but I found the shape odd. I am pear shaped and smaller on top but this dress was HUGE in the top portion. The bodice (upper portion of dress) was too short and it hung mid boob area making the dress look very maternity. The top portion needs to be a couple inches longer even though it is empire in style. If you are busty this might work for you?

Love these for a plus size fit! I'm looking to hide some extra weight & the middle & these check that box. I bought some similar ones a few years ago from Ava & Viv and they became Summer staples. Those were a polyester/ cotton blend & in July & August can get warm these feel much thinner/ cooler being 95% cotton! They have a slight gapping under the arms for me personally and there's a slight adjustable strap with 3 button holes. I'm 5'6" & the last one fits my shoulders perfect. Just an FYI on the green one, it looked Sage striped on my screen but came in more of a Kelly or St. Patrick's Day green.

Beautiful dress. I read the reviews prior to purchasing and I did size down but even then it was a bit big on the chest & waist area. So if you don’t have a bigger chest I would suggest sizing down 2 sizes. I love the pattern and the material is very comfortable so I will be exchanging for a smaller size.

The fit is perfect, and the fabric is very nice and crisp.

I've been a 1X in Ava & Viv for the past two years but this one is too big, especially in the top! Going to try for the XXL bc the strawberries are so dang cute!

Size down 1 size. 2 if you’re really SMALL on top. SOOOOO CUTE. Nice cotton, well made, pockets! I might get another!

Cute & comfy. Not all colors are made of the same fabric though. The black and white check is very lightweight and flowy. I wish the green stripe was the same. They won’t all be as cool in the summertime.

Cute patterns but sizing was WAY off!!! I've been buying this brand for years and always have been 1X. This fit like a 3X. So disappointed. Shipping took longer than it was supposed to and then it didn't fit. Huge let down.
