I thought this would be a cute everyday dress but not the case. The fabric is very loud, more dressy than everyday, the sleeves are enormous and the dress is super short. I am 5’1” and it was still really short. It doesnt really have a shape, I felt more like a character than a woman wearing a pretty dress when I tried it. The print is meh. Returning it. If you like it, $35 for a KS dress is a great deal…but not for me.

I understand that everyone has their personal preferences when it comes to clothing, but the reviews of this dress are mostly negative - when they should NOT be. Many are stating that the dress fits big, fits like a tent etc… but please know that this dress is SUPPOSED to be a loose fit/ baby doll style dress! It’s not supposed to be fitted in anyway. Its style is to flatter the body in a loose fitting way that still works. I am petite myself at 122lbs / 5’1 height, and I went with an XS which fit perfectly. Loose fitting but in a stylish way, shows enough leg and can definitely be dressed up or down! Would look fabulous with any type of heel, chunky jewelry or even a pair of chucks! The material is very high quality and thick. At the $35 price point, this is one affordable way to partake in Kate spade clothing which tends to be highly overpriced! Try it on and give it a chance, don’t go by all the negative reviews saying it’s too big- it’s the actual style of the dress!

I'm usually a 1X/2x and this fit Huge. I know the balloon sleeves were meant for a statement, but you can definately size down!

Nice material, but fits like a tent. I sized down 2x to a xxs and it was still humongous. It's not flattering at all.

Runs large, has no zippers. Lining makes sure its not see through and has side pockets. Can be a tent dress or double as a top with leggings. I could have size down to medium, but I want that full baby dollesque look so I can wear with 6" heels.

Horrible, unattractive fit - huge and hung like a tent.

I'm not sure who would look good in this dress, a garbage bag would be nicer.

I love the flattering neckline, 3/4 puffy sleeves, the pockets, the good quality lined fabric. I’m too petite for the A-line cut of this dress so I zhuzhed it by making it into a top with a rosette by gathering the fabric at the bottom.

I felt like the Michelin man, but a little fancy. It was so unflattering!

No… period. I usually wear a medium but because of earlier reviews I ordered a small. Now… this dress could still be amazing but the material is kinda stiff. I love a trapeze skirt but the front really puffs forward and doesn’t swing very much. The back looks cute tho. Sleeves: very puffy. Not even sure if an xs would make a difference.

I like the material and that it was lined. It won't wrinkle easily. Love the pattern of black and white. BUT SIZE DOWN. I normally wear 14/16. I should chosen an XL by the measurements. I could see in the store it was going to run big so I tried on a Large. It was huge. I ended up buying a medium. I don't normally buy anything that doesn't measure 42" across the bust because that is what fits and doesn't leave me popping out. If I hadn't tried on and used the size chart I would gone with the XL & that would have been a mistake. The length is ok, comes to just above my knee. I did get several compliments the day I wore it.
