The Butterfly Apolonia ZLC was designed in conjuntion with Portuguese Butterfly-sponsored player, Tiago Apolonia. The ZLC plies are placed closer to the core of the blade, which gives the blade a softer feel for more overall control. This blade is best suited for players looking to play dynamic spin shots and those who value control over all-out speed. Tiago trusts the Apolonia ZLC as the ZL Carbon and Innerfiber technology suit his game perfectly. For his forehand he prefers Tenergy 05 Hard, which produces heavy spin and offers a more solid feel due to the hard sponge. For his backhand he plays Dignics 05, as it is recommended for players seeking to generate a high level attack while imparting powerful topspin. To increase the grip on this blade, you can add Soft Grip Tape, providing grip and comfort to the racket handle.
