Women's Ribbon Short Sleeve Midi Shirtdress - kate spade new york x Target Blue/White

This dress looks amazing on! I wore it out on a shopping day with my sister and I got so many compliments. One of the sales ladies said she couldn’t stop looking at the beautiful ruffles. The fabric is very thick and seems to be high quality as well. I purchased several Kate spade items from this release and this is by far my favorite.

If you’re in between sizes, size down. Really cute piece. Excited to wear to work and transition to after work cocktails!

This is a really pretty dress for a very tall person. Too much fabric for my 5'3 frame. Had to return it.

Looks so cute on the model. I ordered a large as I can be 10/12 on sizing. This thing swallowed me up. I even double checked the tag to make sure they didn’t send the wrong size. I’m so sad to have to send it back. I think I could easily do a medium but it’s all sold out now.

Nicely made but a lot of dress. It’s a full skirt. I needed to size down.

Bought it on line and then saw it in person and just didn’t love the vibe. It did look well made and like there was nice fabric, the whole pattern plus ruffle thing was just too much for me.

Looks sloppy on a petite frame. Too much fabric would not recommend wearing on a hot humid day. Returning.

Wished I loved this but the fit was honestly terrible. It’s very oddly proportioned. The torso is weirdly long and the overall length was more maxi than midi. I ordered my normal size Small and think even the xs or xxs wouldn’t have fit right. Major miss on this one. The fabric was beautiful and the unique detail had potential but that’s about it.

I wore this to work today and it was highly complimented. Quality is great for the price and it has nice structure. Highly recommended.

Stitching around the waistband was inconsistent. One side looked noticeably wider than the other with less gathering.

Runs big! I’m what I would consider a true medium (I wear medium dresses, skirts and tops across the board) I definitely could have sized down. The amount of fabric is also a little overwhelming on my frame. I’m 5’4 and I wish it wasn’t sold out so I could exchange 🥲 Quality and fabric is nice and will be great for warmer months

It's a flattering dress! I ordered a XXL, since that was the last option available at the time. Thankfully it works out. I would have given it 5 stars if it didn't have so many loose threads for me to cut. Otherwise, it seems to be well made. I am 5'6 and it hits me above the ankles, slightly below mid-shin, so it's relatively long. It will likely need a slip as well, but it's still a decent option for summer in my opinion, and I live near the gulf. I typically wear 1X or 2X, so I would agree that this is a bit oversized since this dress fits without being snug. I will need to add a pin or something inside the dress to close the small gap that my chest is causing, since I am larger chested, but it isn't a big enough issue to consider returning it. I can still bend my arms forward without it feeling tight. I thought the sleeves would be an issue, but they fit my arms well. So if you happen to come across this dress, definitely consider ordering down 1 size than what you typically order if you are in the plus sizes! Also, I find the wasitline to be flattering on my body shape. I find it to be similar to any other empire waist dress. I think chest size plays a part in where the waist may fall on you, so keep that in mind while reading the reviews.

Gorgeous dress. Runs slightly bigger, but if you are top heavy, size up. I'm a true L/XL in Target women's clothing and I got an XL. Not too tight and not too big. Perfect.

Cute but runs large. I’m usually in between a small and a medium and went with a medium. Unfortunately it’s way too large in the waist so will be returning. Bummed the small is out of stock.

Was not loving the ribbon detail online, but in person, this dress is super cute. Depends on the length of your legs, but this hits midi on me and I'm 5'5. Love this twist on a classic print/shirtdress. Elastic waist on a button down and pockets is a double win.

I didn’t think I would like it, but it is really cute. No you can’t wear dark underwear (well you can if you roll like that), but a slip or nude undergarments will work just fine. It is not too see through, I wore a nude bra and it was invisible. The length is not too long, I am 5’8 though and it hit mid calf. Sizing is more like target sizes, than Kate Spade. I usually wear a XL in Kate Spade and a Large in Target. Some of these pieces I could size down to a medium, but I was a solid large in this. It fit perfect and had enough room up top, which is hard for buttoning up a larger bust. Would recommend and plan on wearing it a lot.
