Use it as a hydrating handsoap, not face wash. Has healed hands that are dry and cracked from frequent hand and dish washing. If you can relate, I highly recommend giving it a try! Wouldn't recommend as a face wash, however; it's far too heavy--feels like washing your face with watery otion. Love that it's truly fragrance-free too!

My favourite cleanser for oily skin that needs hydration, I use this as second cleanse and leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and hydrated not dried out and tight. The pump is great as its easy to dispense and use, a must have!

The only face wash we use in our house! Our dermatologist told us about it and now it is the only one we use. We have a preteen son who uses it as well and it had done wonders for his skin as well. Lathers great, fantastic price, it was like purple and leaves your face feeling sooo clean.

The CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser has been a great addition to my skincare routine, but it did take my skin a little time to adjust. At first, I wasn’t used to the non-foaming, creamy texture, it almost felt like it wasn’t cleansing enough. But after about a week of consistent use, I noticed my skin started feeling more balanced and less tight after washing. It’s especially nice for dry or sensitive skin, thanks to the ceramides and hyaluronic acid that help maintain the skin barrier and hydration levels. The packaging is super nice but it’s hard to get every little bit out of there to get your full moneys worth. I also love that it’s fragrance-free and super gentle. However, I did experience a slight purging phase in the beginning, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Once that passed, it really delivered on its promise of a soft, clean, and moisturized face. It’s a solid drugstore staple that I’ll likely continue to use.

I feel like this cleanser is good for anyone just starting out with skincare, especially younger teens. It does a baseline job of cleaning your skin without an overwhelming smell or fragrance. It’s safe for sensitive skin, but I’ve found more effective products elsewhere in terms of actually removing/preventing acne. Good choice for dry skin, but not if you’re acne sensitive.
