Reed Gas Lift Desk Chair - Powell Company

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it comes to putting items together, and letting the husband do it, it usually ends with frustration and a lot of cuss words. If your husband is like mine, this chair will make them happy. It went together so easy (my husband and 7 year old put it together), and not once did my husband cuss. It didn't take them long to put it together, and now my 11 and 7 year old children fight to who gets to sit at the desk daily. They both love the chair (as do I).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The chair arrives in basically four parts. Putting the casters on was very easy, as was attaching the undermount of the chair. My problem came when it was time to attach the seat to the "gas lift" pole/post that has been placed into the rolling "legs" of the chair. It was difficult to get the seat placed just right on this post. The first time I did, I thought it was on securely, but fell out of the chair as I sat down. There is a plastic piece on the undermount which probably should be sturdier. That being said, the chair looks fabulous! It is modern, but still classy. It is also easy to clean although fingerprints show easily.

It moves very good, so much that my kids think they’re supposed to roll through the room lol. It spins easily and it’s very comfortable.

The quality of the chair is very good. Doesn’t look cheap and it’s very sturdy. It it goes really well with the table I just got. I definitely would recommend this chair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable, has arm rests, can adjust the height of chair, material is easy to clean if anything gets on it. You can tell it is very well quality made chair. So much comfier than our old chair. Spins to move easily. Perfect amount of padding in the back and seat for comfort while working on the computer.

I bought this in white to go with a white desk from Target as well. It matches up to the desk perfectly and my daughter loves it. She sits in it for hours working on her laptop or sketching on the desk. It's probably worth 5 stars due to how cheap it was, and I got it on sale plus my Target card discount. I only ding it one star because I can tell it's not super strong or well made. It's a vinyl like materiel and she's been told to keep the cats off it and I'm certain it would poke and peel pretty easily under any abuse. Putting it together was a snap, and far easier than I thought it would be when I opened the box and saw all the parts. I had it put together in under 15 minutes. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone taller than my 13 year old. She's 5'7"-5'8" now and she's probably going to outgrow it quickly. But I wouldn't hesitate to pick up this chair if you need something stylish looking that's cheap and reasonably comfortable (according to her, I'm 6'4", 260 and I'm not using it, lol), and you're not a real tall person. It is a really nice chair/stool - however, be forewarned that this is only usable for this 5'6" or shorter - for anyone taller, this chair does not raise high enough. Your feet will sit crunched to the floor and highly uncomfortable for any length of time.

I ordered this chair in white and just love it. It's soft, yet supportive, very comfortable and just so darn cute!

This chair is well made. It was very easy to put together. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the back doesn't come up high enough for me. I need more back support when sitting in front of my computer. I have ordered another chair and will use this chair in front of my sewing machine.

This chair is fine but the measurements in the description are not correct. If you are looking to know the size of the chair before you buy it, I would not put my trust in the accuracy or reliability of Target online. Plus when I came back to write this review, I saw it had gone on sale right after I purchased and even though I am returning it I am still bitter.

Beautiful chair but arrived with a small cut in the chair in a noticeable area. I will return and reorder.

Got this chair for my teenaged daughter, she loves it! It was very easy to assemble, took maybe five minutes. Is a nice quality and very cute design. Nice quality.

I bought this chair for my 17 year old daughter. She loves it, comfy and stylish goes great with her decor. It was very easy to assemble. I would definitely recommend. Quality was great too.

I was so disappointed in this chair. It arrived with a cut in the "leather" and the quality is not there. The chair is very round but some of the metal pieces are totally straight leaving a gap. This one particular metal piece seemed hazardous for my kids. I had to return it.
