A: Hi Lola, Thank you for checking this out. The geometric pattern on the duvet cover is created using tufting textile weaving in which threads are densely inserted on a primary base. It won't shed a lot, but you do see several loose threads coming out upon washing due to the nature of this weaving, but the entire pattern will stay up well with the wash. Hope this helps. I ordered this comforter and it came in with pink stains all over it. I returned it and ordered a new one and it ALSO came in with pink stains on it... Seriously? This process has been nothing but ridiculous.

I have used in the summer when the air is on but would be better suited to the winter months for added warmth. Haven't washed yet but the cotton feels high quality and looks like it will wash well.

This is such a beautiful set. This is a light weight Duvet Cover set with a lush raised pattern all over the top. It is very comfortable to sleep under and offers a beautiful accent to and bedroom. This duvet is light cotton with enough thickness to still protect the comforter. I have switched to all cotton so finding a cotton duvet is a must. Much more breathable. This has really nice stitching and the tufting seems very well done.

But considering a purchase an all season duvet, I was hoping this cover would be lighter weight for the summer season. Would best be used in the winter time if you are looking for added warmth. It does have any attachments to keep duvet in place so it does shift at times. Also notice the the frill pattern tended to peeling result in a bit of lint.
