Q: I received the shelf but the nails do not fit in the given holes in the back to hang it. What options do I have?

A: Hi Ashley, The back holes are keyhole type, that is, there is a round hole, and then a narrower rectangular slot connected. Screw is supposed to go in through the round hole, and then as you slide the shelf so that the head of the screw is behind the rectangular slots, the shelf gets secured. Can you confirm if this is how you are mounting the shelf into the wall?

A: The height of all shelves is 7 inches. Only the middle left section is 14.75 inches high.

Q: How thick are the shelves? Would I be able to put a half inch screw in to hang a hook?

A: The shelves are 1/2 inch thick. They do have keyholes in the back so they are ready to be hung in the wall.

Not sure who weighed this for the description, but when it arrived it took 2 of us to lift it into the house! I never bothered to open it because I could not imagine trying to secure this to a plaster wall, let alone add weight to it with objects. It had to weigh over 50 pounds on its own!

Relatively easy to assemble however instructions aren’t very clear making it easy to assemble it backwards. Also the hardware to hang it with is cheap at best and you’ll need to use better drywall anchors, as the ones provided just push into the drywall when attempting to put in the hanging screws

Really too heavy for the drywall screws that came with. The shelves plus whatever you put on the = heavy. Hard to hang and the photos don’t show this extra piece to put underneath to stabilize. When we caught all the screws it tore through the particle board on one side and slipped. I hope it’s secure and doesn’t come crashing down. Might add some small wall anchors or brackets on top to help.

Love the look of this shelf, it’s perfect on my wall. Only reason it has 4/5 stars is that it is difficult to hang. I put it together per instructions, but the middle horizontal shelves put enough pressure on the outside walls that the template included in the package doesn’t work. I ended up removing the inside shelves, hanging the outside frame, and then reassembling the shelves into the frame on the wall to get the template to line up properly. Definitely a two person job. Once it’s up there it looks amazing, though!

it's good for holding albums and cute plants. i'm excited to hang it on my wall! it came really safely and was easy to build, nothing was chipped which is what usually happens. i say go for it :) some of the sections might be too small for huge books but great for small albums, small books, pictures, dolls, etc

Nice looking, large wall shelf, perfect for displaying small books and Knick knacks. Installation was a bit difficult since you have to line up three holes to attach to wall. Also, not sure that the plastic wall anchors ( provided) would be enough. We used other, stronger anchors and added a bar under shelf for extra security. Fits our space perfectly!
Shelfs are not high enough to fit normal size books.

My daughter wanted a floating bookcase so I took a shot and ordered it.Big mistake Although it is a cool design for a teen girls bedroom the sizing of the shelves are terrible. You cant stand any books up except for the one shelf that has a larger section in it. Plus many of the shelves came chipped and damaged.

The holes in the third shelf were incorrect which affected the whole alignment. After 15 minutes into assembly, had to disassemble and pack up for returning. Poor product and waste of time!
