I don’t typically write reviews for products, but this was the first new piece of furniture I’ve ever bought for myself and I’ve been so disappointed in my choice. I had no issues with assembly, but the frame is horrible, even for the price you pay. The bed wobbles and sways significantly because it’s too cheaply made for the support legs to fit securely into the frame. The wobbling then loosens the screws that secure the legs. I’ve had to re-tighten the screws multiple times over the course of a few weeks so the legs don’t fall straight off the frame. Not to mention the fact that it stinks, like actually smells in a disgusting, chemical way, and that the frame is too big that a queen size mattress reveals the cheap, shoddy planks beneath. Overall a disappointing buy. Save your money and don’t buy this product!
Strong formaldehyde odor - be careful

Very strong and toxic smell of formaldehyde. Tried airing it out both outside and then moved it to a well-ventilated room but the smell was too overwhelming that it was causing me headaches and breathing issues. It's too bad because I liked the design, but not worth putting yourself at a health risk for it. Will be returning this.

Came missing assembly parts, and missing the instructions to build the bed. I haven’t been able to find any sort of assembly instructions online, so I’m going to wing it and hope it works. Very poorly packaged, and is an actual pain to figure out.

Fantastic chair - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
After 21 years of marriage and 23 years of sharing a queen size bed my husband and I finally graduated to a King. We decided on the Kaia Finished Wood Platform Bed Frame because it's simple, sturdy design met our needs for space and design needs of our bedroom. The wood is firm pressed hardwood and solidifies the platform base with provided slats. My husband is well versed at putting furniture together and actually was impressed with the ease and build of the bed. The frame is solid and looks nice in our room! Highly recommend!
Good looking, horrid assembly+instructions

Really good looking bedframe but an absolute horror to put together. Instructions were extremely lacking, half of the hardware wasn't even packaged into bags. The directions tell you to assemble the side rails and headboard/footboard and then try to slide in the support beams but I would recommend not fully attaching the beam for the headboard until you have the support beams attached or else the support beams literally don't fit between the headboard and footboard. Also, attaching the wooden support legs while you're rolling out the slats is tricky, so just prepare yourself to be patient. Assembly probably took me around 5 hours, would've taken a bit less if I used a drill with a key bit though.
