A: I would not recommend standing on this to use as a step stool. It is not intended for standing on. It works great as a seat, bench or footrest.

I choose the carmel color faux leather Ottoman. It looks great in person and is very comfortable. I love the height so you can raise your legs up level with couch. It is also very comfortable to sit on and the storage is an extra bonus. The price was affordable and it seems to be well made.

I like this in terms of looks, but I should have studied the photos in the listing a bit more. Many ottomans have the top part sort of "carved out" which helps create more space for the things that are stored inside. But this one is not. The top is solid. So, it's just a bit short for what we'd hoped to store in it. Having said that, it's a nice piece, we just can't use it for our original intention.

These are great for maximizing space! I have two of these at the foot of my bed. The tops are very comfy for sitting with memory foam like toppers. They also open for storage! The hinge isn’t the most sturdy but mine haven’t broken this far!

Its leather-ish exterior surface make cleaning easier. It is a very solid piece of furniture with a good storage space inside. The hinge may seem to appear a bit of safety concerning, especially for little children.
