Absolutely adorable! Assembly was great & the quality of the bed is great. This is for our daughter, and as long as it lasts like it says it will, we plan on keeping it in our family for generations.

I was in the middle of assembling and one of the pieces was defective. I called the Walker Edison hotline and they also said the piece was defective after sending them pictures of the bed. They are sending a replacement piece but it’s just crazy I was expecting to have somewhere to sleep tonight and now I won’t because they said shipping could take up to 2 days and delivery up to 5. Would’ve loved more than just that for what I’m going through, not even an apology for the defective piece. But I’m still going to use it once I get the piece it’s just annoying like they shouldn’t send out defective pieces? The customer service representative was nice but it’s just insane that I won’t have a bed for a while so hopefully the piece gets here soon and it’s not also defective. Would’ve loved a little more than just that.
Great value for cost

This bed is great for the price. All the reviews complaining about assembly are a touch dramatic. It wasn’t the easiest to assemble but if you’re buying furniture at an ikea price don’t expect a pottery barn assembly experience.
a bit disappointed

This bed frame looks nice but the support beam snapped in half. Now we have to get a whole new bed and replace it.

It’s a pretty color and looks as expected but the instructions say no power tools, but also instruct you to screw screws into dowels and wood with no predrilled holes. Anyone following directions would have arthritis by the end. Also one of my pieces had the wrong holes drilled (i checked the numbers on the pieces and the instructions) so i had to make new ones so the bed would go together. Also many many many steps. Although the build is captured in 16 the last is putting in 42 screws (with no pre drilled holes). If you didn’t read the description like me it’s a twin size frame be warned.

pros - looks good - fairly solid cons - rough to put together - could use extra supports notes: The instructions say no drill needed, but when placing the slats you will want a drill.

Putting this bed together was nearly impossible. Took 3 hours using a drill. Even with following instructions to a t, half the holes didn’t line up. Very cheaply made, I will be shocked if it makes it 6 months without cracking.

The assembly of this daybed is an absolute nightmare. A lot of the wood pieces came bent and without holes, which made it extremely difficult to put together (in total, it took 4 hours or so to build). Also - the max weight is 200 pounds. That would have been nice to know prior to purchase!
cute but timely

this is the second time i ordered this bed. the first time i didn’t receive all the pieces and returned it. i gave it some time and thought about how bad i really wanted it, and ended up ordering it again. this time everything was perfectly labeled. the instructions were very simple to follow. i put it together mostly myself in about 2-3 hours. i would highly recommend a drill when putting it together for some of the screws to make your life easier. but overall it turned out great!

My 4 year old and I put it together without much fuss. Maybe they changed the instructions, but I found it straightforward. Bed looks just like the picture. Seems sturdy so far. Nothing to compare about. Still decorating the room, but here’s where we’re at so far.

Don't let the reviews about difficult assembly scare you away, it's not bad at all, I did it by myself and everything was labeled. Whenever you use bolts, just don't tighten all of them as you go but leave a little loose to give you wiggle room for assembly, then tighten. You definitely need a power drill for the screws and if you have a hex bit for the bolts even better. I did end up drilling tiny pilot holes in all the ends of the spindles where you place the screws just to make it easier but other than that, it went together perfectly I read some reviews about using twin xl mattress but I used an 8" regular twin from linen spa and by the time I add the mattress pad and cover, it will be a perfect fit.

One of the worst things I have ever assembled. So many of the holes do not line up or are not pre-drilled. You will need more than just the provided Allen key to complete the assembly. Job to put together would have been cut in half if all the holes were correct. It does look nice once assembled.
Pretty frame! Not as hard to put together!

Prefacing this by saying I have not put a mattress on it yet to test out, but just finished putting it together. The frame itself is really pretty and exactly what I was wanting. I saw many reviews of this frame (both here on Target and elsewhere) stating it was a pain to put together. I did the whole thing on my own inbetween the baby taking naps. Probably took 2-3 hours total but would've been much faster if I had been able to do it in one go. A powered screwdriver (Roto-bit) made fast work of it. I know the manual said not to use one but after tightening the first few hex bolts by hand, I reached for the powered screwdriver. Made the whole thing a breeze and I just did the last bit of tightening by hand. I can definitely see it being a PITA if doing it all by hand though. I saw mentions of a lack of predrilled holes: The only things that didn't have predrilled holes were the decorative rods, the center slat that was attached with a bracket and the slats. None of which I think even needed predrilled holes. I had no issue screwing in the screws both by hand or with the powered screwdriver. I even switched around one of the bottom side pieces so I was missing the hole marks for screwing in the brackets. Wasn't a big deal. I'm a little confused by the center support piece and that it's closer to the front and seemed a little higher up where the "feet" didn't fully touch the ground, but not really going to question it. I had a hard time getting that to slide in and it was a tight fit with the brackets screwed on. I think that was the only thing I really had any trouble with. Hoping it keeps together once I put a mattress on it!

This bed frame was a fabulous choice and purchase. After it was delivered quite quickly, I warned my husband that the reviews of its construction were highly polarized before he put it together for me. So he was constantly updating me during the process on what nice quality the materials were, how well mapped out the packaging and instructions were and how easy it was to get right. He said he preferred that he had to drill the screws into the slats on his own because those pre-drilled holes on such furniture are infamously skewed and troublesome, so yes it took the use of a real drill. I agree that the wood has a lovely finish, the design is way minimal and non-invasive and the thing is sturdy and seems like it will hold up.
