This desk is very straight forward with instructions and easy to assemble, however it is not made for an adult. Thankfully I did buy it for my 6 year old, but I do want to add for others interested that it’s SMALL!

Consider a professional who can assemble my experience was awful and a waste of money.

I couldn't even use this desk because oh my God it is so unnecessarily difficult to assemble. I would rather try to assemble IKEA then this piece of trash. Every time you make an adjustment it messes up another aspect of the desk. If target didn't offer refunds I would've turned my backyard into a rage room so I could've smashed this thing into a thousand pieces. Don't buy.

I almost didn’t buy this desk because of the bad reviews. Don’t let them scare you away. If you’re capable of building a piece of IKEA furniture, you can do this. I had a friend help me assemble it and we put it together in under an hour. As the other reviews mention, the pieces are not labeled. The very first thing we did was label them with sticky notes. Problem solved! My main issue with the desk is that it’s kind of short. Other than that, I would say the quality is what you would expect from a $60 desk.

Feels strong once together but it’s small. We ended up giving it away and getting something bigger.

I put things together all the time but this desk was actually horrendous to put together. I ended up throwing it away because it broke. Not to mention the instructions are some of the worst I have ever seen and not helpful at all. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!

Worst thing I have ever built in my life. I have put bed frames, headboards, nightstands, KITCHEN TABLES, and more. Those were cake walks compared to this desk. I have never in my life been more confused and frustrated with something in my life. I followed the step by step video and put everything where it needed to go and as I lifted it up the whole thing was lopsided and out of place. ALSO the top piece WILL not go ON! I hate this thing. Do not buy it.

The desk is very sturdy. It was larger than expected. A great bang for your buck. I used it as a vanity. Easy to assemble. I did it alone in less than an hour.

Do you hate yourself and enjoy pain and suffering? This is the desk for you! I wish I could give this devil desk zero stars. For god knows why, none of the pieces of this desk are labeled. So, it’s like a super fun guessing game of “does this piece go here??” (Spoiler alert: it does not.) Why on earth would you not label the pieces. The instructions were impossible to read. It’s almost as if they let a 6 year old write them and were like “yeah good enough!” The shelves do not fit. Also, the screws don’t fit, which is just a really fun addition. As I was putting this monstrosity together I questioned everything. What did I do to deserve this? Where did I go wrong that this had to be the desk I got? Why am I crying over a desk? You may be wondering: why didn’t you just return it if it was that bad? I couldn’t let the desk win. And also, I’m stubborn. I was committed to making this devil desk work for me. And after 4 hours, she was built. Kind of. There are nails that I had to place in to keep this thing stable. I fear the day my fat cat tries to jump on this thing. I am the desk. The desk is me. I’m not really sure who won this battle, but be warned. I miss who I was 4 hours ago. Do not buy this desk unless you hate yourself.

This desk was extremely difficult to put together and it broke. It was on sale and looked aesthetically pleasing, but I didn’t like how the directions were worded and the desk is cheaply made.

the manual was not clear and very confusing

I disliked that it did not come labeled with letters so it made it more difficult then it had to be!

I was missing one single piece from the box. The instructions were hard to understand. There was a lot of flipping back and forth. There was supposed to be two matching identical twin pieces.... only had one. Didn't notice until it came time for it. If i yake it back, am i gonna get another box with the same issue?! Or will i be missing instructions like the other people have commented?! Would not recommend

Who the heck doesn’t label the pieces? These are the worst instructions, could have been so easy if they had labeled everything like other companies do.

I was assembling a desk and the desk was missing a screw, so I called the phone number listed in the instruction booklet. They listed every possible option from applying for credit to selling products to target! Yay! Not one option to have a screw mailed to me. I finally connected with someone in their product quality and Safety department who didnt know whatba desk was. I called back and spoke to a Senior customer care associate who didnt know how to help me so she said she would escalate my call. I wasnt upset yet, but I was starting to feel like Target doesn't care at all about this situation. She did say the store would give me a screw, but I knew thatvwould not be possible. After ringing for a couple of minutes, it was obvious that nobody was going to answer. I live 20 to 25 miles away from a target so I drove to tje store (50 mile round trip) and you know, the people there were trying to help, were super professional, and friendly, but they couldn't look up my receipt by my phone number and the target app wasn't accepting my password. I finally got into the app so they could scan a barcode. Why couldn't they look me up by my phone number like their call center employees in the Philippines can? Or ANY store can? They were out of stock of the desk AND COULD NOT SHIP ME ONE! This process was so inefficient and ineffective. This is not an issue with people not wanting to help, ot runs much deeper into Targets internal processes. If you put a phone number for parts in your assembly manual, then have a department that can ship parts. Needless to say, I returned the desk. I will order one off of Amazon. I don't think I will shop at Target for quite some time.

I thought the reviews were just exaggerating but they aren’t. I’ve spent over 3 hours trying to put this thing together yet non of the pieces will work together towards the end. Will most likely be returning this to get something else.

Horrible buy! I am pretty good at assembling things with or without full instructions but it seems like this was impossible. If it would have just labeled the pieces with the letters were following in the instructions it would’ve been a piece of cake. Literally an hour in and still trying to figure out step 1. Even though only $60 still not worth the price if you can’t assemble it.
