This is your favorite strawberry shortcake dessert with a Talenti twist. We start with a layer of strawberry gelato, a layer of pie crust pieces, followed by strawberry rhubarb sauce, another layer of strawberry gelato, and a final layer of shortbread pieces. At Talenti, we believe the best process and ingredients result in delicious gelato and sorbetto. That’s why we source the highest-quality ingredients from all around the world. Then, we package our products in clear, BPA-free jars that can be recycled and reused any way you like. Please note that Talenti jars are not microwave or dishwasher safe. The strawberry flavor was a bit too artificial for my taste. Wasn’t a fan of the strawberry marmalade. The little bread pieces added nothing to it. I was hoping for a better blend of flavor and compliment. There’s better flavors and this one just wasn’t all that.

Very disappointed and I know this may be on the store, but my ice cream was freezer burned.... expiration date is less than a month away. I doubt I can return a perishable item. :(

I want to address that for any Talenti container as a fairly weak woman, I've been able to open with fairly little effort using a grip pad (which I frequently need to use for other products). We love the containers and reuse them for other things, so I'm not sure why there's so much difficulty surrounding the lid. That being said, I'm not a fan of this ice cream flavor. I didn't like the strawberry taste and mine only had one later of the cookie/shortbread bits so the rest was not enjoyable. Love so many other flavors, but this is not one.

We recommend letting the ice cream sit out at room temperature for three to five minutes to allow the package to warm up a bit, making the lid easier to twist off. You can also run warm water on the top and sides of the lid to help loosen it. Honestly, this flavor caught my attention at the grocery store and I bought it on a whim but WOW— I’m really impressed at how rich yet smooth and flavorful it is. It had been a while since I’d splurged on Talenti and this is my first “Gelato Layers” experience but I must say I feel compelled to try them all now!

Giving this a one star because I couldn’t even taste the ice cream to review it. This company is clearly founded by a man and not meant for women. I have been trying to open it for over 30 minutes and my ice cream is now melted. I had to google to watch to tutorials on how to open the jar of ice cream which means this is clearly a common problem. Will not buy again.

My favorite part is the strawberry rhubarb sauce and shortbread pieces! It adds so much flavor and texture to the ice cream! I’m a big fan of ice cream layers in a jar! It is worth getting and there is always some sale going on at my grocery store buy 1 get 1 free!
