Q: What is the height from the queen mattress top to the bottom of the bunk? I'm looking for head clearance when the queen bed occupant sits up in bed.
A: Hello there, The space between the slats of the bottom bunk and the bottom of the top bunk is 35". The space will depend on what size mattress you use. We Recommend using a mattress 5 inches in height up to a maximum of 8 inches.

A: Hello there! The distance between the top and bottom bunk is 38.5 inches when using a 5 inch mattress on the bottom bunk. The ground clearance of the bottom bunk is 10.25 inches.
