Q: Can the beds stand alone as a queen and a loft? Or do they have to be together as pictured? What is the distance between the surface of the lower bed and the bottom of the top bed?

A: Hello there, Thank you for reaching out! The beds are able to stand alone and be separated as they are not connected. Additionally, the distance between the surface of the lower bed and underside of the loft is 40 inches.

We bought this bed for our cabin in August of 2022 but didn't start using it until recently. After being slept on only 6 nights, the welding on the center support bar of the Queen bed came "undone." Now it's unusable. Also, some of the screws are too short and have had to be tightened twice (my husband is super handy and knows how to tighten screws but these become loose) so my husband will buy all new longer screws. Guess we should have purchased the warranty for it, but I thought Max & Lily were a reputable company and I trusted them. I'm hoping they can send us a new center support bar with the end brackets solidly welded on; if they do, I'll revise this review because other than it fell apart after 6 uses, it's a nice bed, convenient and nice looking.

Very sturdy. It is a whitewash finish rather than white. The assembly was not easy. It was difficult to identify the screws and rather than relying on the diagrams , we separated the screws and identified them by the numbers

Good bunk set. Fairly easy to assemble. 2 people, approx. 3 hrs. Like the appearance and the quality of materials. Top bunk has a little wiggle, but seems sturdy overall. Grey color is darker than expected. Overall satisfied with the product.
