    Beautiful but Really Bad Texture

    I ordered two different patterns of these sheets and when they arrived I was thrilled with the colord and patterns... and then I opened them. They have a weird texture that is stiff, and when you brush it with your hand it doesn't glide smoothly but sort of "sticks". I really don't know how to describe it. I've never experienced this problem with sheets. I thought maybe they had been treated with some kind of starch, so I washed a set. Nope, still really unpleasant on the skin, like they were treated with permanent chemical. The other possibility is that they are microfiber, which may mean, cheap polyester. I can handle a cotton percale blend but the texture of this would not breathe and would make for a really unpleasant sleep. Trust me, don't buy them. I had already returned one set and the second set is going back as well. It's really ashame because the patterns are fabulous. I guess you get what you pay for.
