A: I have 9 x12 rugs in each room. We take them to a local laundromat. We wash and dry them there. Warm water. Low or medium heat.

Q: does this rug move around easy when placed on hardwood floor, main living area? Does anyone use a rug pad with this rug so it doesn't move? I prefer a rug you where you don't need a rug pad.

Safety: All rugs shift underfoot, including rugs with furniture placed on top of them. Rug pads are constructed to be less slick than the back of a typical rug, and some even include tacky surfaces to help anchor the rug more securely. This keeps the rug more stable under foot traffic, and also helps prevent bunching. Stability: When a rug shifts, it creates friction between the floor and the rug backing, which can cause premature wear. This can also cause damage to hardwood floors or tiles, particularly if dirt or debris gets under the rug. Not only do rug pads increase stability, but they also help keep rugs flat, which keeps dirt and debris from collecting under the rug. Ventilation: When rugs aren’t properly ventilated on the bottom, moisture can seep into the back of the rug and weaken it, as well as potentially causing mildew. Using a rug pad that allows for proper ventilation can help keep your rug cleaner and moisture-free. In addition, vacuum cleaners work much better on rugs when there is sufficient airflow underneath. Cushioning: Foot traffic continually presses rugs down into the floor, which causes continual wear and tear on the rug’s back and pile. Adding a layer of padding helps cushion the rug and lesson pressure, helping to prolong the rug’s life. In addition, the extra padding helps deaden sound in the room.

A: This Rug Is Machine Washable. Machine Wash Cold. Do not Bleach, line dry. Cool Iron if needed. When washing Rugs 8x10 or larger, use a larger capacity commercial grade washing machine.

The rug smells like skunk. I have been trying to air out this rug for the past 2 weeks but the smell will not go away. And while it's washable, the rug is too large to fit in the washing machine. I probably won't be able to use it because of the smell which is unfortunate because it it pretty and was reasonably priced.

this rug is made of cheap fiber. Shiny and flat. When I returned them (I bought 3 of two different sizes) the clerk had difficulty processing the return. The vendor is a Target Plus supplier. The rugs do not go back to the supplier. They go to the dumpster. Such a waste.

Bought this rug months ago. It came smelling like skunk…not sure why. I thought I’d leave it outside for a few days. I washed it, sprayed it with numerous different cleaning agents and the smell would not come out. Gave up on it and have left it outside on my porch due to it smelling absolutely horrible. Makes sense why it was on sale for so cheap. Would not recommend this. Totally bizarre experience with a rug.

This rug has a very low pile hight. Thinner than an outdoor rug. I don’t expect this rug to last more than two years with heavy traffic, but if you have lighter traffic, you might make it up to four. There is a sheen to the rug that mutes the color, especially in brightly lit areas. I purchased the beige color. If you purchase this rug think more white than beige. Which is the reason it was given 4 stars. But in low lit and dim lighting the rugs colors emerge. Because I have only had this rug a week this review is just an initial observation. I will update this review after a few months of use and a wash.
