A: in cubic feet (which is how soil is sold) you'll need 19 cu ft.

Q: Can you speak in terms of bags how many bags of dirt is required to fill the raised bed for each section?
A: Total amount will vary depending on individual potting/planting needs. Tomatoes, for example will require more dirt as their roots grow long and deep. It's best to consult local nursery or garden retailer for proper requirements. On average 4-5 50lbs bags should be adequate.

Q: Is this wood stained? If not, what type of would wood is used?. Ex. Cedar. If not also then would it be better to buy a separate sealant?
A: Chinese (FIR) wood is used, and is not stained. Absolutely, using garden bed safe sealant will only provide greater longevity. Please consult your local paint/hardware store expert.

A: Yes, wood is durable, however, sealing wood will always provide more longevity.

Q: In addition to Cat's question above...if I would like to place it on a patio, is it possible to lay some cardboard or landscape fabric down underneath? What would you recommend? Thanks.
