This was very simple to assemble and required some time but the instructions were very clear and it turned out beautiful! The perfect entertainment center for an apartment but could totally see this as a bench for an entryway/cubbys for shoes in the future!

Purchased this TV stand in White Oak for use in a family room and a 65" TV. The quality is impressive, especially for the price paid (on sale for $139.99 at the time.) Delivery was amazingly quick, and it arrived safe and sound. Assembly was long, but very straight forward. It took approximately 4.5-5 hours to assemble with no break. As others have stated, it is best [and safest] to assemble with hand tools. There were no holes drilled for the L brackets that go on the bottom board, but we were able to drive the screws for those brackets in with a standard electric screwdriver. That was the only power tool we used. Everything else was hand tools. The instructions do not explicitly state when to place the top on the unit, but it is easy to tell by looking at the instructions when that needs to be done. There are a couple of other steps that are a little confusing at first. Studying the instructions for several minutes before starting is essential to understanding how it all goes together. This would be a difficult piece for one person to assemble by themselves, so having two people is definitely recommended. Hammering the nails in to hold the back panel on is a little tedious as there is only a 1/4" or so of thickness to nail into. Since it is basically nailing "blind", one has to be careful not to put a nail too close to the edge and nail through the surface of a panel. The finished product is very attractive and all pieces aligned with no problems at all. The front doors do stick out a little when closed, however we solved that by putting white Velcro in the upper corner of each door to keep them held closed. Someone could also get magnets if they didn't want to use Velcro. All in all, we are very happy with this TV stand for the sale price. At the standard price of $249.99, the value is a little less compelling so getting it on sale is the key. We would not hesitate to purchase other Tangkula furniture products in the future.

Do not buy this if you intend to put it on carpet. I have very low pile, low density carpet. This stand is not at all stable, and I’m worried for the safety of my child. I don’t have the energy to disassemble and return so I will have to install a wall anchor. I’m very disappointed.

Instructions weren't easy to follow. Not sure if we got it wrong but one set of screws were very difficult to fit so we left them out. One of the doors doesn't close fully. Top doesn't look shiny as in the picture. Reasonable price though. We like the doors and the space in the middle leaves room for things we want to access often. Darker color futurnitures stand out more and seem to occupy space. The white color is great.
