Summary of reviews
Guests have mixed feelings about this plant-based meal. While some appreciate the flavor and convenience, many criticize the texture of the noodles and chicken, as well as the excessive oil and seasoning. The meal's simplicity and high protein content are noted, but the presence of inedible herb stems and overall greasiness are common concerns.

I wanted to like this so badly. Unfortunately it was very bad. Extremely oily, it was pooling with oil in the bottom of the bowl and no flavor at all. Not to mention all the noodles are in pieces Sadly for me I had no back up snacks at work or I would’ve just eaten the chicken and thrown the rest. Had to choke it down. The chicken is good but I can buy that on its own and will. The rest of this bowl was inedible to say the least.
Should be named black pepper Primivara

Not sure if this was a manufactured error but there was so much black pepper, I could taste nothing else. Went in the trash. The “chicken “ were strips of rubber stuck together. Will not be buying again and was so hopeful for this.

Every Daring meal I've had is yummy. Don't understand the negative reviews!
Tasty-- even better with less oil

Tasty rich butter/spicy sauce, though very oily. This shows up in the relatively high 41% calories from fat. By comparison, a typical frozen dinner is 15 to 35 percent calfat, while pizza is typically 35 to 50 percent calfat depending on toppings. I suggest bringing it down to 30% calfat would keep the taste while making it more healthy and less 'oily." Yes the soy protein, vaguely rubbery 'fake' chicken doesn't taste exactly like real chicken. It's still quite good, and the sauce more than makes up for any less-than-real taste. I have come to buy this regularly, as an ‘indulgence' food, and add broccoli and carrots to fill out the nutrition.
Unfortunately real bad

Hate to say this is the worst frozen meal I’ve ever had! Will never do this to myself again! Barely any flavor -what a waste.

The chicken texture made me gag and the flavor was so bland with a garlic after taste. I just finished it because I was starving and am desperately trying to get the taste of that chicken out of my mouth. Worst frozen meal I've ever had.
Yuck!

Put together sloppily. Dry and disgusting. Huge chunks of the plant based chicken, and very little of the rest of the meal. I should have read reviews first.
Tasty sauce

I really like this for lunch. The sauce is very tasty in a subtle way (although it’s a bit oily), and the chck’n pieces are good. The pasta does tend to fall apart, and more veggies would be nice. But overall I really like this!
Please don't willingly subject yourself to this

Quite shockingly disgusting to be honest. Pasta was inexplicably presented in weird shreds of textures which varied along a spectrum of inedibly dry to inedibly mushy. It also doesn't taste good. At all. In fact I'm actually embarrassed to have stunk up the break room with the horrible and unplaceable aromas emanating from this meal.
NO. JUST NO.

This meal was just ODD. To preface, I am plant-based/vegetarian and do not eat meat of any kind. The faux meat in this meal may have actually been more disgusting to me than actual dead chicken, but the jury is still out on that. It was so rubbery and it looked way too much like dark-meat chicken. (Puke) The pasta portion was decent, but definitely not something I would buy again. Side note: My mini Aussie enjoyed licking the bowl after I scraped most of it into the trash, but then again, she will eat literally anything.

Ive been wanting to try these for months and am so disappointed. It’s so greasy and oily and the sauce isn’t really a sauce. The noodles are just shreds and some are soggy while others are hard.
Too oily no taste

As a fan of Daring pieces, I was very excited to try this! Boy was I disappointed! This meal was soooo bad. The noodles were broken shreds and somehow mushy and hard at the same time. There was barely any sauce, and what was there, didn’t have much flavor. The “chicken” pieces were good, but for the price of the meal, I could have just bought a whole bag of the pieces and had enough more multiple meals.
Wow! (In a bad way)

I’m not joking when I say this is one of the most repulsive meals I’ve ever come across. The chicken is in large, un-chewable slabs, the pasta is mush, and the flavor is pungent and offensive. My lunch break has been tainted and I may have to quit my job to process this culinary experience.
Barely Edible

This dish was flavorless and incredibly oily. I hate to waste food but I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. Oddly enough, I wasn’t completely turned off by the consistency of the faux chicken. The pasta/veggies were somehow the worst part.

This is probably my all time favorite meal! The plant based chicken is tender and has a good amount of herbs in it. The pasta is good but the chicken is what makes this meal so amazing. The only issue I have is that I have to cut up the chicken before chowing down because the pieces are so big. Anyways, I highly recommend this meal!

I can't believe some reviewers don't like this! I LOVE this as a GF veggie chicken option. It's so hard to find veggie chicken, I can eat that's gluten free. It is a little liquid-y, but all I do is heat it up and add a bit of parmesan. The parmesan absorbs that right up and adds a bit of salt. YUM!
Yuck

The “chicken” turned into a hard inedible substance in the microwave. Sauce is gross too. All the noodles crumbled into slivers.
