We recommend consulting a local hardware professional to ensure you have the appropriate hardware for your specific home requirements. A 10MM drill bit is necessary for making holes in standard drywall. If you are inserting into wood studs, skip the anchors and use screws directly.

The mailbox arrived completely unwrapped in a large box with other items I ordered. One of its sides was dented. It may have been a quality control issue where it came off the manufacturing line with a dent or it may have happened during shipping because no care was taken to prevent that from happening - we'll never know. There was a slight wonkiness to the whole item not sitting right when placed on a table, but that would not have been an issue once hung outside. I do have to say that other than the dent and wonkiness I would have kept it because the paint job was excellent and I thought it was very cute.

I’ve got a cat who is in to everything. I wanted a bin for my laundry lint that wasn’t as easy for them to figure out. Got this in brass, didn’t feel it matched the photos therefore my expectation. So I returned it and got black. Quality is expected but how it hinges is not most ideal for against a wall. I’ve had to put felt pads on it to prevent damage.

this is a very cute idea but the item is huge. my mistake for not checking measurements before ordering. i returned it. it also rattled a lot when handling it. Don't dismiss it just be aware of the size.

Nice looking design, but arrrived with bubblewrap and loose in the box. I ordered two, and one was really banged up in shipping. The lid doesn't shut tight, and has no lip. There is always a gap that would let blowing rain or insects in. Going to have to return them.
