While this would be a great mid level gaming latpop. The RTX 2050 would not play most VR games. However some of the lighter titles or indie games would. A: Thank you for your question about the upgradability of this HP Victus laptop! The maximum RAM it can handle is 16GB in a 2x8GB DDR4-3200 configuration and does not have dual-channel support. Although HP's official parts list for this tops out at a 1TB SSD, you can use any M.2 2280 PCIe4x4 NvME TLC solid state drive with this.

Unfortunately I found this laptop to be of lower materiel quality than my Dell Inspiron 16. It was also a good deal slower which was noticeable straight away. The Dell is much snappier doing minor tasks like opening and closing windows browsing etc. On paper it looked a bargain, so bought it for my son to play Minecraft on, he now has my Dell instead and we returned this. A shame really.

Facing lot of problem. Even it is of this much high specification it is laging a lot. Every time after just 3 4 hours of normal web surfing it is show window is not working and that much I was not really expecting this. With the guidance of experts I updated all the needed updates and then I reset it when it was not working but till today I was facing the same issue again and again. It my first and last worst experience with hp victus. I just purchased this laptop 2 weeks ago since day one I am facing this issue. This is the worst performance I have ever seen in INTEL CORE i5, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, AND NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4050 GRAPHICS CARD. Worst product with worst performance I have ever seen.

Purchased on 11/2/24 as a Xmas gift. Target extended its holiday return policy on 11/7/24 until 01/24/25. Needed to return on 12/30/24 because it was not needed/specs weren’t ideal. Contacted Target to return and they would only make an exception if it was sealed in box and I jumped through hoops to get an approval. It’s an unused item. Don’t purchase if you may need to return. It will be difficult. I purchase from Target often and seldom have an issue, but I am no longer going to be an avid target customer over this. Customer service very unhelpful.
