    Fraying and Unravelling after 1 Week

    After one week of use, the rug started fraying in all areas. My dining room table sits in the middle and even non traffic areas began to fray. It's been a little over a month now and the frayed areas have started to unravel. The rug is not in a high traffic area and all care instructions were followed. I know that Jute rugs have some fraying but it should not be this worn so soon.

It is a cool creamy color with some variation (less warmth/butter tone than the photos). When we first got it, it reeked of chemicals and was damp. However, with 3 days off gassing with open windows and fans, the odor went away and it dried. It’s not a very high quality rug, but it is very reasonably priced and perfectly nice, soft enough for a bedroom and bare feet. We’ve had it for just about a week, but so far no major issues with tracking fibers.

    The rug arrived very damp and smelled awful. I’m currently hang drying it. Hopefully I can get rid of the smell as well. As other one star review says, this is not off white you would expect. Actually I’m ok with that. It looks more natural looks and I like it. The quality seems so so. I can see it will start fraying sometime soon. Overall, I’m not that impressed with this one.
