Very cheaply made. You will need at least some tools for assembly or you're going to have an unpleasant time trying to get the dowels and screws into place. For some reason, the screws it comes with are more or less little plastic carriage bolts. Flat at the top, difficult to twist in, so good luck trying to get them to proprely fit I suppose. Baffling, truly.

Disappointed in these shelves. Very flimsy. You do need tools. You will need a soft mallet and either wood glue or Gorilla glue. The first shelf I put together is very flimsy, so I used Gorilla glue on the second and it seems to have given it more stability. I can't believe these were over 80 bucks. Don't waste your money.
