Gomez Corner Console Table - Safavieh

I selected this cream colored corner table to fill the space between the bathroom and the bedrooms. It was very easy to put together compared to other furniture brands that I have purchased from Target and Wayfair. It seems to be sturdy, at least sturdy enough to meet my needs, as this table will only be used for decoration. I took two pictures to show the cream color in different lighting. The darker picture is with only the hallway light on above the table. The brighter picture is with the hallway light and the camera flash on.

This was a horrible experience! I ordered this and it came literally obliterated. I wish I could post more pics. This thing was smashed on all sides. It was placed in a huge box with cheap foam and almost no protection. The outside of the box was in pristine condition. There were no dents or punctures or scrapes whatsoever. This table was packed in a way that allowed it to be free flowing in the box so it was able to slide back and forth. The foam was pathetic. It had holes in it and was extremely thin (foam you would use for small non furniture items not easily damaged). I called and the rep told me that it was not packed correctly at the factory and ensured me that he would make sure this would not happen again. He then told me that he had to return it and I had to purchase it again (another rep told me that was not true and it should have been exchanged later on). He said it would go back on my AMEX. He also made me pay more (not on sale) and said I would be refunded on my AMEX. I live in NYC and he wanted me to carry the table to a UPS store over a mile away. I said absolutely not! He finally agreed to have UPS pick it up. So I paid for the new table and they got the other table back but no refund. Almost two weeks later I called back about the refund. The rep says oh it was just sitting there and she’ll put it through now. Again, I was told it was going back on my AMEX card. Five minutes later I get an email saying they have issued me a gift card. It took almost two weeks to get the refund to my AMEX (how I paid) and not a gift card. Fast forward and it’s been over a month and I still haven’t received the extra $28.95 the rep made me pay. So I received the new table (pics of both tables attached) and this time instead of being obliterated one of the leg pieces is snapped off and the other leg piece is dislodged from the the slot. So now I am truly disgusted. I’m even more upset because I don’t have it in me to go through this again for a refund. At this time, I’m still waiting for the first refund and I didn’t want to return the second table and have the same issue (them with hundreds of my money and me with no table). So I ended up spending even more money. I chose to go out and buy Gorilla wood glue and heavy duty tape to try and fix it. This was the worst purchasing experience I’ve ever had. I saw other reviews saying the table was damaged upon receipt and chose to get it anyway (TWICE). The second time only after having been reassured. That was a huge mistake. I NEVER SHOULD HAVE PURCHASED THIS TABLE!!! I will getting my furniture from an actual furniture store from now on. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND FRUSTRATION! Do not buy this table. Unless you get lucky, you will be disappointed. Both tables came packaged the same way in the box (free wielding). That is clearly an issue that had nothing to do with the delivery companies. By the way, the table comes with two large stickers on the side. I tried to gently pull them off and it still came off in pieces. I was not able to scrap it all off. So there are now pieces of white sticker clearly visible on the side for all to see and to make matters worse, the part of the stickers that came off left a sticky residue. Not to mention the black table is not painted. It’s raw wood spray painted and they only put one coat. So there are several spots missing adequate paint on this table. I will need to repaint it to cover what they missed as well as the sticker. I also cannot put anything heavy because of the stripped wood.

It was very quick to put together and it's good quality wood. Great price for the quality.

Great buy for the price. Only 4 stars because one leg was cracked all the way down the leg, but not deep enough to affect the stability.

By far the easiest piece of furniture I have EVER had to assemble.

Super easy to put together. Fits into my corner perfectly and is the perfect place for my lamp. Not the strongest table, but great as an accent piece.
