This fan was used to replace a bulky, bright brass fan that did not fit our living room decor. We needed a fan without a light to allow safe passage underneath. This Hunter fan is low profile and fits with our living room by being all white and very quiet. This fan was even easier to install than fans purchased in recent years.

This one is amazing because it doesnt hang as low. It was very easy to install. The directions worked great!!

I like how quiet it operates, the design of the base and fans themselves and the hardware all compliment the overall product. The fan is low enough to my ceiling and still continuously cools the room and does stand out and looks classy. It's still a great fan although there is no lighting, which I preferred in a fan. The Hunter - Low Profile IV 42 inch once properly installed does not wobble or cause noise when in operation. Overall, this Hunter - Low Profile IV 42 inch ceiling fan is a great choice and it will compliment any room/space where a low profile fan is needed.

Quality of the parts is wonderful. Fan runs whisper quiet and the mounting hardware is best in its class. Our only complaint is regarding the long joist or wood screws provided when unable to mount to the electrical box. I wish they were a higher quality screw and that they were square or diamond bit to better prevent stripping. We may have not drilled our pilot holes wide/deep enough but both of the provided screws twisted clean in half.

This is a replacement for one of the 2 Identical fans I had installed 18 months ago. The motor stopped functioning in one of them for no apparent reason. Not only did I have to by another fan that matched, I had the cost of an electrician to install it.
