I have a cavalier spaniel and the small is really a bit too small for her claws. Also, the spring is not popping the clippers back apart correctly after a clip on first use. Hopefully it works better with time/use and not worse. I didn’t think I could return after opened and used or I would have. They are sharp with nice cut though.

These looked cheaply made but they are dainty which made them easy to maneuver. I was able to clip four nails before my dog had enough. I’ve never made it more than one! Must feel much better to him.

Our dog is a very energetic. She particularly uses this energy to get out of getting her nails clipped so that we have to ply her with treats to even hope to get one paw done at a time. Then when we'd get her to sit, she would still snatch her paws away when I clipped them unless it was at the very tip of her nail. Even when I wet her nails/paws to reduce any nail brittleness, clipping my dogs' nails was still an uphill battle. Why say any of this? People that struggle with weak hand strength would be able to use it easily. Second and most importantly, she doesn't recoil and jump every time I clip her nails now. She's SO much more tranquil which cuts the clipping time in half and I can actually make the cuts I need to the first time. I guess it's the recoil + the sharpness of the clippers. Third, the clippers also come equipped with a nail file that slides into the end of the clippers. If you have a dog, buy these clippers!

They work pretty well for our Alaskan malamute. Typically we dont have to trim his nails cause he is usually constantly running outside when we let him out. But lately this winter season, for some reason he doesnt like to go out in the rain any more. So we bought these and they worked great. Sharp and cuts nice.
