This rug STINKS! The smell is suffocating. I opened it outside and let it air out for 5 hours. I sprinkled baking soda on it, let it sit for 30 minutes, and vacuumed it. I brought the rug inside, laid it out and put an air filter on top for 3 hours. Nothing helps. The rug is beautiful, albeit much thinner than I was expecting. I hope this smell fades, otherwise it is going back to Target.

Place Air the rug out first in a clean, well-ventilated area, like a porch for a few days (a garage is not recommended unless the windows or the doors are open) b. Turn on the air conditioner or place fans within the space where the carpet is located and keep the windows and doors open. This way will help enhance the flow of air in and out of the space. c. If you have an air-ventilation system (ducts that exchange indoor for outdoor air) keep this running for at least 48 hours after the rug is installed. You can run it for more if the odor is still present. d. Vacuum the rug
