Sun Zero Doucet Thermal Blackout Rod Pocket Curtain Panel

These are not black out. I have light filtering blinds then these curtains and it’s still very bright in the room. Light comes through the drapes easily!

For starters they’re not white. It’s more of a bluish white, if that’s a thing. I ordered 2 for my bedroom window and one was shorter than the other. They should probably have an option with a set instead of each being sod separately to avoid this discrepancy. They don’t block the sun completely, but I’m fine with that because I wasn’t looking for complete sub blockage and knew it wouldn’t be possible becuase my curtains rods hold my curtains too far away from the way to be able to do that anyway. Which is what most reviewers aren’t realizing. They are very hard to iron or steam. I don’t like wrinkly things. If you like things to be astetically pleasing, like I do, then don’t bother buying these because the wrinkles might drive you nuts! I will be returning these. On to the next, until I find actual white, good quality, room darkening curtains! You might see my review on another set of curtains, can an eye out!

It all depends on what you're looking for. These are thinner and therefore lighter weight than blackout curtains I've seen at other stores, and they don't really soften noise. If you just need/want a basic curtain that blocks out some light, these are good. They do seem durable. But if you want/need a heavier curtain that blocks more light and actually softens sound, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Since I can't wall-mount curtain rods on the concrete walls in my apartment, I needed the lighter curtain because it can hang on a rod mounted with Command strips. Anything heavier would pull such a rod down with it. So while I don't love how thin these are, that's what I needed.

Blackout means blackout. For curtains. there is no such thing as partial blackout or full blackout. These are marketing terms made to confuse customers. These curtains are “room darkening” on a good day. A night with a full moon will defeat them. Straight to the landfill.

These are so sleek and go with modern, edgy, and even rustic room designs. They were second to none in insulating our room, the largest in the house, and they worked exceptionally well at blocking light from outside!!! I love the navy blue color and can’t wait to put them up in my guest room! They curtains do succeed in blacking out light, but the fabric is as close to plastic as polyester can get. It's like hanging black hefty bags or a tent up as curtains. The drape is really stiff, they're shiny, and they feel like chemicals are coming off on your skin when you touch them.

The curtains are light weight and do have a liner on the one side to block sunlight which is a big plus. They’re a good little size. I had to wash several times before it went away! The curtains were thin but made well. There is a thin fabric with some sort of plastic feeling backing on the fabric. Hanging the curtains was easy. They did an ok job keeping out about 75% of the daylight. I would not buy it due to the horrible chemical smell.

However, after hanging them, they didn't work there. I ended up hanging them in the guest bedroom (and plan to hem them to better fit the window). These curtains do really block out most light. They are great for early mornings or when I have a migraine and need the room as dark as possible. The one thing I didn't like was the sheen on the material. I wish they were more matte. I would buy other curtains because of the price and if other colors weren't as shiny. I do recommend these curtains because they were easy to install and they are well made.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These curtains are just OK. They feel kind of plastic or canvas or like a tarp kind of. they don’t do the best job at keeping light out however, they do feel super durable and that they won’t easily tear up.
