I really love this rug, however it really isn't child or pet friendly. It's extremely difficult to vacuum and loves to hold onto debris. As a result it's very hard to keep it clean. The office gassing is REALLY bad. I normally don't complain about this issue, but it was so strong for over a week. If it's just adults and in a spot where people might not walk in their shoes/high traffic then I would say go for it. Just plan on airing out and shampooing before you bring it inside.

So soft, shaggy, great colors, so glad I bought this rug! The checkered pattern is fun but the colors keep it neutral. Great size for the cost. Definitely NOT for messier people/kids or hairy pets, I would imagine this is very hard to clean. Works perfectly for my reading nook though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look and feel of this rug. I bought it for my baby’s nursery. However I cannot use it because whatever chemical it is treated with SMELLS AWFUL. The chemical smell fills the whole house. I can’t imagine putting it in the same room as a baby. I have aired it outside for days, sprinkled it with baking soda and vacuumed it every day since I’ve had it... nothing has worked. I would like to just review this on looks but unfortunately the smell prevents me from enjoying it entirely.
