A: Hello Carrotcake! Thanks for reaching out. You can absolutely use that kind of bulb. As long as it's an A19 shape, E26 base bulb that doesn't exceed 100 watts, it should be perfect.

After attempting to put this lamp together and struggling for quite some time, I came to realize that the threading on one of the poles was crooked and it would never align correctly. I processed a return for a replacement item stating what my problem was with it. The second one arrived in a matter of days, and it’s perfect. I was able to put it together in 5 minutes. I absolutely love it! It was a pain to get one that wasn’t built properly, but the return was easy and the replacement item is perfect. I love it!

This is a great lamp. The price is right, it's easy to put together, and it puts out a lot of light. People that are having problems with it are probably putting in the wrong bulbs. Most people don't know that it's dangerous to put anything but a 3-way bulb into a lamp wired for 3-way bulbs. So, just be sure to buy the right bulbs for this and you'll be fine.

This is the second one purchased. The first one didn’t work with the 3-way setting. I use soft white bulbs and it gives off enough light on each setting. A bit cheap looking, but gets the job done. I like it.
