Q: Can this be used with to roast marshmallows?
A: aDW, This fire pit has not been rated for, or safety tested for food preparation. That being said, it would be a huge challenge to clean any food off of those lava rocks, as porous as they are! Q: I have a table with a shelf underneath the main top. Both have holes for the umbrella. The distance between the top and shelf is 8 inches. Can a hose be used to connect the Tablefire and the propane tank?.
A: Cathy, I'm sorry, but I think your shelf will be in the way of the 1 lb. propane tank. The tank attaches directly to the Tablefire coupler - and is held just below the tabletop in a metal bracket. This is not one with a hose attachment. If you look for a Tablefire with a higher BTU number, it will likely use a 20 lb propane tank, which still uses a fixed metal coupler (it extends about 3 inches below the tabletop). Then it attaches to a propane hose which would feed through the second hole without a problem. If you have further questions, please contact us at Happy2Help@Bondmfg.com. Have a great day!

Q: Can you give information on where the propane tank is attached? Can this be installed on a small outdoor coffee table with an umbrella hole? can the gas cylinder be attached under the table?
A: Abbe, The 1 lb.propane tank (not included) attaches to a metal connection that is part of the base of the Tablefire. It goes right through the umbrella hole, and holds the tank in place just under the table surface. Yes, it is designed to fit in any table with a hole for an umbrella pole.
