submitted byPeter - 4 years agoA: I'm using it to upholster a sofa I'm making, and it is definitely heavy weight - upholstery weight - fabric. I would not use it as a blanket, but it would be a beautiful coverlet. It does shrink in the wash, so I had to buy two to complete my sofa...they are twin size.

A: It is made out of a heavy-weight, textured, 100 percent cotton fabric which I'm using to upholster a sofa I'm making. I would not use it as a blanket because it is too "bumpy." But it would be a lovely coverlet. It is twin size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blanket is very thin and lightweight and perfect for summer. We have been keeping this on the couch to cozy up. Always like using a queen on a couch for extra covers! Love the texture of it, will be interesting to see how it holds up after cleaning!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited for this blanket, because I love the comfort of blankets and quality is very important to me. I was surprised when I opened it and the texture of the blanket was odd, but it’s a perfect fit for a bohemian lifestyle. This blanket folds up perfectly for car rides, picnics, etc. This blanket is worth much more than the price and I recommend getting this high quality Tommy Bahama Cotton Blanket.

BUT...there were too many places in the blanket that were defective. It is the perfect weight with a tight weave for the cover on a platform cot I'm making into a sofa. I need something that is not too soft, and this is it. I even had pillow shams that coordinated perfectly. I'd order another one (and I just might), but I'm afraid they would all be the same. If there were a lot of reviews, I would be more or less optimistic. I wish I could call the company and have them look them over and send me one that is not defective!!

This bed blanket is really pretty, but it was not what I was expecting from 100% cotton. I imagined a soft feel. It is quite the opposite. Even after washing, it was stiff and scratchy feeling. It might work better as a coverlet.

This is a beautiful blanket. The color is true to the picture, kind of a sand beige. I like that it is cotton and breathable. It does have some weight to it which I really like. It’s not lightweight and flimsy. I washed in cold water and dryer on low. Didn’t seem to shrink.
