About the Author

Barbara Noe Kennedy arrived in Arlington in 1993 to intern with National Geographic Traveler, an opportunity that turned into a job of more than 20 years. Today she is an award-winning freelance travel journalist and the author of several books, including National Geographic's Walking Washington, D.C. She still lives in Arlington, now with her husband, David, and their two cats.
