Q: Is there a sequence to pushing on/off/mode? Can’t get them to stay on for more than a few seconds

A: Every night I need to go out and press the on/off button. I am thinking once they are on they would turn on by themself every night when it gets dark.

Q: How do you get them to turn on automatically?

A: Back of the panel upper left side is a mode button, To the right off/on button .The buttons are covered with a flexible rubber as you press on the button you can feel a knob press down to turn on.

We wanted to switch to solar and these are fantastic on our porch. I mounted with command stripes to our bolster porch and set them to the timer mode. After 3 months we have had a few bulbs go a bit dull, but they still look lovely.

These lights are very luminating and easy to use however, the solar box is not watertight/proof. The panel rests on the roof and lights are hung underneath the porch awning. I have gone through two strands already in less than 4 months. the lights wouldn't turn on. I picked up the panel and could hear water sloshing. I took the cover off and immediately about a 1/4 cup of water drained out. I let it dry and wiped the corrosion with 90% Isopropyl Alcholol. I am going to put a layer of plastic wrap over. hopefully this works. The manufacturer may want to redo the design. Maybe add a small epdm gasket around the enlosurer.

My apartment patio gets a lot of sunlight so I did not run into any issues with having to turn these on or off. Once the sun fully set they went on automatically and shut off in the morning. The only problem I have had was that two bulbs fell off during a high wind storm so I’m hoping when I buy another set I can replace them. Fingers crossed because this was a good price!

Extremely hard to figure out auto-on since instructions are worthless. You have to make sure the solar panels are positioned so that they get sun but also don’t pick up light or movement at night. Finally figured it out on my apt balcony. Faced them towards the wall, barely tipped up. To figure out auto mode I covered and uncovered the solar panel with my shirt while pressing the two buttons during daylight until I got the auto setting. Target you really need to do better. These are cute lights (right length, white cord which is hard to find) but took two months to figure out. You’re lucky I’m stubborn.

We left the solar panel to charge in the sun in a well lit spot for two days and the lights cut out after 30-seconds. We thought it was a mode issue (maybe set to flashing) but it wasn’t. On any mode, the strand cuts out after just 30 seconds of being lit.

Solar twinkle lights are a good idea to save money and this design is cute and affordable. Too bad the product doesn’t actually work… when mine arrived two of the bulbs on the string didn’t work even though the rest lit up. And based on reviews, other customers had similar quality issues.

I haven’t been able to figure out how to get them to stay on , they seem as they are on a sensor mode and I have clicked the mode button and all of that and it only turns on when there is motion in front of the lights and turns off within 30 seconds, they charged all day today.

These look fantastic on our patio, but can be frustrating if they don't light up automatically the next day. I have 2 sets on the same fence. One side was functioning as expected, other wasn't turning on automatically. Took me a week of troubleshooting. Eventually removed the one set and moved to a different location that I knew would get sun but also wouldn't get any light at night. It worked. My theory is that a motion sensor light in the area of the patio was effecting the solar night sensor. I've since moved the solar panel in a different direction where it still gets sunlight but not in view of any other outdoor lights. I hope that helps those who shared my frustration. I alos find it difficult to know if solar lights on in the on position when the button is just a button. It's not a switch. They arrive partially charged so take them to a dark room or turn the solar panel upside down on a counter to see if "on" or not.

I do like the brightness of the lights but only 10 lights per set is ridiculous! Leave the switch On and they go on automatically @ night then they turn off in the morning
