Warning: This canopy arrives without any instructions. Replacing your old weatherbeaten canopy will test your wits and your dexterity. First, make absolutely sure this is the correct size, 11-ft diameter, 8 ribs, etc. Plan on replacing the cord (not at all your standard clothesline!) from the crank to the canopy (Ace Hardware has the goody.) since you'll need to cut it in order to position the canopy. You'll also need a length of plastic clothesline to feed the offset tube, which you'll tape to the cord to draw the cord through the the tube down to the crank. Keep track of the bolts that hold the crank assemply, as well as the parts that need to be replaced on the cord! I found melting the end of the cord, then quickly (so you don't burn your finger or thumb) "mashing" it into a point to ease it into the hole in the crank shaft. And, at the other end, to fit through the holes in the plastic parts. Once assembled, (ours is dark blue) you'll be happy!
