Q: How much weight can the frame withstand?

A: I haven't put mine together yet, but just unboxed and can tell you the quality is AWFUL. I can't imagine it will withstand much weight.

I cannot stress enough - DO NOT BUY THIS. Whatever it is painted with is rubbing off on everything. My hands are black after just unwrapping one piece. If you plan to put it on a rug, it'll ruin it. If it wasn't such a large piece and difficult to repack, I'd return it immediately. It is also all scratched and scuffed up. I can't believe Target is selling this. No more shopping Target online.

The biggest issue I have with metal frames is they lose support over time and become wobbly or break. This one is fantastic! Have had it for a year and is still as sturdy as the first day I got it. Love the clean modern look too. It's the perfect balance of style, functionality, and price.

Super sturdy and easy to put together. We used a power tool with hex head rather than manual. Took about 15 minutes to assemble. Doesn't squeak or wiggle around. Very impressed.
The easiest platform frame to put together and I have had three different ones in my family to set up.

The best part of assembly instructions is no awkward translation of English, but large print, easy to read and understand steps, clearly numbered parts. Anyone familiar with numbers 1 thru 7 should find this super easy to assemble. I did not use the adhesive strips as I did not want to risk damaging a very nice Futon matress. Not slipping. The center support rods were a bit long so the bed rocked back and forth at first. I added "slider pads" which seemed to take care of the problem. The metal is strong, although the finish scratches easily. Keep this in mind when removing from box and during assembly. Well-designed, inexpensive, and likely to be the last bed frame I'll ever need to buy.
I have to say, I really love it.

I bought a pillow top mattress, but the box spring made it too high. So I ordered this platform bed that would work with only the mattress. I have to say, I really love it. The brushed nickel finish is my favorite and it is now low enough so that I don't need a stepladder to get in it. It seems very sturdy so far, but we are not huge people. I am very satisfied with this purchase and it was a good price.
