My mother in law speaks Spanish and my kids call her “wela” which is an affectionate term for “abuela” and I think this mug will be such a sweet Mother’s Day gift for her. It’s a decent size and feels nice and sturdy in the hand. The slight splatter detail looks like more expensive pottery! I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to find this mug. It says ABUELA on it, which is so sweet. I enjoy my morning coffee at my picnic table early in the day. This mug has a terracotta feel on the lower part of the cup but has a smooth area at the mouth area. It states that it is microwaveable but the cup itself may get hot itself. So I prefer to just add my coffee to it. I had a cold soda in the mug and it kept my drink cool for a good period of time. One draw back, it needs to be hand washed, so I can't put it into the dishwasher. It has a bit of weight to it which I like, but may be too heavy for some. I like the mug, but I don't think I would seek it out because not dishwasher safe and may become too hot out of a microwave, just for safety reasons. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very cute mug! I love the off blue/purple color on it and then on the bottom it comes with a rough texture. It's cool to look it but its not that pleasant to hold especially since part of that is on the handle. I love the word abuela on it meaning grandma making this the perfect gift for a grandma. I just wish the bottom was a little smoother. The inside of the mug is completely smooth. The mug is a decent size. I received an incentive to write this review.
