Loveeeee the look of these bowls. They don’t scratch on me. I just use a regular sponge to hand wash them with. My one complaint is that when you warm something up in the microwave the bowl becomes EXTREMELY hot to the point where I can’t pull it out of the microwave without oven mits, so just be aware of that.

The bowls and entire dinnerware set are absolutely adorable, but it will take you 25 years to remove the price stickers and then there will still be marks. Such a bummer for such an otherwise good product!

I was expecting a smaller bowl. These are ot 15 oz bowls, they are 22 oz. If you were looking for smaller bowls, these aren't it.

For everyone mentioning scratching/marks- you purchased a material called stoneware. Stoneware scratches with use, but it is not permanent! Take some baking soda or salt and make a paste with water, lightly scrub the bowl with the paste and the scratches will go away. It is important to research the material you are buying so you understand how to take care of it.

All of our dinnerware is from Hearth & Hand. We love the black + white and colors we can mix-and-match through the seasons. These bowls are large, fun and unique. Glad they still make them, because we have broken a couple of them, but they’re pretty sturdy.

We got these bowls to replace 15 year old bowls we had gotten for our wedding, and which had been reduced from 12 to 3 due to breakage over the years. We loved the look of these bowls new, and they microwave very nicely, however, they have a fatal flaw. The interior glaze gets scratched by metal spoons/forks very easily, particularly after microwaving a bowl, e.g., for oatmeal/soup. Then when you stir your food the bowl interior shows all the scratch marks (see photo). Exterior can show marks if it gets scratched in the dishwasher or some other way. Our 15 year-old bowls that survived showed no marks at all, even after all those years. If you want bowls that stay looking new and are not finicky, do not get these!

The bowls are great aesthetically and in use. They’re a good size too! Worth the price My only complaint is they can chip easily, I hand wash them now and make sure I’m careful and this has helped the issue.

If you want marks from silverware all over your dishes, buy these. Own 12 dinner plates, 12 salad plates and I’m even seeing marks on my 8 bowls. SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY!!!! Sooooo wish I could return these…..

These are larger than I thought. I don't use them for cereal (unless you really love a lot of cereal) but use them for soups, stews and pasta. They're slightly irregularly shaped to give a "hand thrown" appearance.
