Q: What does microwave safe reheating only mean? Is that time based or temperature based? Sending these with my freshman next year who may not remember all that mom tells him.

A: I have this item at home, and my daugther has a 4 piece set for her self at college. One example that comes to mind is cooking rice. There are some bags that is 1-2 minutes heating in the microwave which this item works well in bowl than the bag for the same time. If it is regular rice were heating in these bowls for 10-15 minutes these may not stand the heat, and my warp, and lose it shape. I hope this information is useful. Malcolm
