Q: My window is 40-41 inches wide. Would 39" width work?

A: Dear Ridavis. There will be 0.5" - 1" gap on each side if you install a 39" Shade. This defeats the purpose of the blackout version of this Zebra Shade.

As beautiful as this is, it is NOT BLACKOUT! and it’s already fraying the the ends of the fabric which is causing it to get stuck

These looks very nice and are easy to install, but they are definately not blackout. They are somewhat room darkening. The other thing is that the roller gets tripped up a little, especially when you do it too fast. It's like the blinds and the ball movement don't match. But they are very inexpensive, so they are a good value if you don't meed complete black out and you aren't planning to open them all the way up too often.

These Seem Really Nice Packed Well But Be Aware Very Heavy I Think Ship Weight Was 6 Lbs Or So These Won't Work On Our Cheap Drywall Apt Walls Anchors Or Not. Also Took Awhile To Arrive Approx 3 Half Weeks But Was Close Holiday Still Other Stuff Was On Time.
