This bookshelf is super cute, and quite large with lots of space for books, etc. It's PERFECT for my daughter's loft bed since I would be able to hang it nice and high. However, when it gets shipped, it just gets plopped in a box and mailed to you with no padding/bubble wrap/plastic air pillow things/etc and so both times it was shipped to me, it arrived broken and we can't use it. I'm disappointed because it really is cute. *Target has been very helpful as far as returning the item, etc*

I would love to own this item but twice now Target has shipped (or allowed their 3rd party service to ship) units that were packed only a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. No padding, nothing to prevent it from being damaged in transit. The shelf itself is GREAT and perfect for small spaces, it is sturdy and would be a great addition to any room…. IF you can actually receive one that isn’t damaged. Best of luck if you decide to gamble with this purchase. You could end up like me: printing two labels and standing in line at UPS twice to return it.

These are perfect for a nursery! The only issue we had was that one did not come with hanging materials and target would not give us a small discount to make up for it. They suggested me make the return, which I didn’t want to do because they’re out of stock.

I started reading reviews after placing my order.. big no no, I know but to my surprise it actually came in a good condition. Minor damages but it’s still in a presentable condition enough so that there’s no need to return it. I love the way it looks in my daughters bedroom. The only thing is that it is not as big as I thought it would be. I will definitely be purchasing another one or two.

i would not recommend this, i ordered it twice & both times it came to me chipped & broken. it seems like the packaging is the issue & it gets damaged during shipping. they’re really cute but be aware it’s not going to be in perfect condition.

I should have read the reviews prior to ordering the item.. I am having the same issue as many others, the item arrives damaged. The corners are cracked and peeled like it was dropped or poorly put together. The item is not available in stores and after my second broken shelf I am giving up on this item.

The shelves themselves are really nice but the manufacturer needs to update their packing process. I ordered 2 of these and they both were damaged (cracks/chipped paint). They were in a cardboard box with a layer of plastic (like a plastic bag). There was no styrofoam or extra cardboard to protect the units from shipping damage. They weren't even tight in the box, there was a lot of wiggle room. Target was great about a refund. I was able to get some wood glue and a clamp and fix where the one was cracked, and touch up all the paint that was missing on both. They look good now. However, if you don't want to have to do the repairs to the shelves, I'd find something else to buy.
